A concert by the Oxford Bach Choir to mark the death of Hubert Parry and the centenary of the Armistice with music by Parry, Stanford, Vaughan Williams and Jonathan Dove, interspersed with readings appropriate to the theme of war and remembrance.

House Groups comprise members of Parish congregations who meet in each other’s houses to study the Bible and other books, to discuss issues raised, pray, enjoy fellowship and refreshments. The sessions are led by members of the group.

There are currently four house groups meeting in the Parish of Abingdon-on-Thames. Meetings are usually fortnightly and in the informal setting of the host’s home. The Desiring Life group meets on Tuesday afternoons in the Parish Centre Lounge.

The Abingdon branch of the Mothers' Union meets at St Helen's Parish Centre on the first Tuesday in the month from 10.30am to 12 noon unless otherwise noted. Visitors and new members welcome, contact the Branch Leader or the Parish Office.

Enjoying a pub lunch together

St Helen's at Lunch 

Members of the congregation meet up for a social lunch at various local hostelries.  The day of the week is rotated in the hope that everyone will be able to come on at least one occasion. Start time 12noon, no need to book, just turn up. If you need or can offer a lift please contact Susan Scott on 01235 522960.

Do join other young families for a 'bring and share' lunch, chat and play in the Church Centre Hall after the 10.30 service at St Helen's on 5th Sundays  We're normally ready to eat around 12 noon and we're all cleared up around 13.30 - 14.00
